In honor of my brother’s 12 Desserts and 12K of Christmas, we dive into our second day of Customer Service leading up to Christmas Day.
When I thought about all the possible things that could endear us to our Customers, the first thing that popped into my head was the Return Policies of companies like Costco and Wal-Mart. Is there any wonder why they are always packed this time of year? With generous return policies, they really stand by their products. For example, I bought a small HD video camera during the Black Friday Week (smart companies now have specials online all week long…and they get more of our hard earned money that way). Unfortunately for me, the camera delivered exactly in line with the entry level price that I got it for.
I ended up returning it to Wal-Mart, where I got my money back, no questions asked. I call that good Customer Service. I know we’re not singing the 12 Days of Customer Service, but if we were, the line would go something like this:
On the 2nd Day of Customer Service, My Customers Got From Me…an iron clad, money back guarantee!
Just make sure that the fine print isn’t undermining your guarantee.
Thanks for reading, see you tomorrow,
