Last year, we looked at how colleges, universities and other institutions of higher learning have been reaching out to find new students in new locations. Whether it be a dedicated train car for commuters in New York, televised classes for soldiers overseas or on-line classes for the working student, there are a plethora of ways to reach your Customers.
A professor just last week stated that colleges may be obsolete, as we know them, by 2020. He elaborates on my post from last year (I know, I know, I am cutting edge) and states an obvious truth.
“…for traditional institutions to remain relevant, they’ve got to meet students where they are.”
Hmmmm….let’s spin that a little more.
“for traditional institutions to remain relevant, they’ve got to meet Customers where they are.”
Ok, the picture is beginning to come into focus now, isn’t it?
Mr. (or increasingly Ms.) CEO, this is your wake-up call! It is time to reach out to new areas and find new ways of delivering your product to new people.
If you are stuck, I would love to help. I know Customers.
