One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

Nope, it’s not a slam on our illustrious leaders in D.C.  I am referring to the ever-hilarious attempts by companies to instill Customer Service….Keystone Cops style. Has this ever happened to you?

You have an appointment for someone to come to your house to fix your air / your cable TV / your washing machine.

The appointment is at 10 AM.

You run an errand and get home at 9:30 AM.

There is a Voice Mail from the repair man saying that he called and since no one is home, your appointment will be cancelled.

What time was the appointment again? Is this real?  Were you supposed to stay home in case they called to see if you were there?

This happened to Mark Sanborn.  If you have a Customer Dis-Service policy in place like this, yank it out now and make one that works.
